My name is Melissa and I am a professional USDA Certified pet transporter. I am the owner of Whiskers, Tails & Scales Pet Transport & Boarding, LLC. A people person and animal lover to the core. That is what prompted me to start this business. Although, I know we can’t have every animal/pet in the world right now, we sure can love yours for our short trip and/or stay together.
Proud to be accredited by the Better Business Bureau. Whiskers, Tails & Scales is a licensed Limited Liability Company specializing in professional pet transportation. We hold a Class T license under the Animal Welfare Act (7 U.S.C. 2131 et seq.) as well as certified to transport hybrid & wildlife animals. It allows us to safely transport a variety of animals including (whiskers) cats, (tails) dogs, (scales) reptiles, and even goats, birds and small pets.
We are commercially insured and carry pet insurance for your pet while in our care.
We offer safe, insured, and fully-covered ground and air transport services for your pet, ensuring their well-being from door to door. Whether your pet is a fur-baby, purr-baby, or scaly-baby, rest assured they are covered with our comprehensive pet insurance during their journey.
Our network of drivers spans across the United States, and we handle both domestic and international transports (via ground or air). Each member of our team is a passionate animal lover, many of whom have extensive experience in fields such as:
Veterinary Technology
Dog Training
Animal Rescue
Pet Grooming
Boarding
Pet Nanny Services
We are proud to have been featured on Channel 6 ABC News Philadelphia for reuniting a grieving sister with her late sibling's beloved pet. In addition, our team assisted in the rescue of several Husky sled dogs in the Federal Krabloonik case in Aspen, Colorado and successfully transported 25 pets to Canada, saving them from euthanasia. With hundreds of pet transports under our belt, our commitment to professionalism, cleanliness, and a genuine love for the animals in our care is what truly sets us apart.
Our travels are climate controlled according to your pet(s) needs.
We temporarily (for the ride only) provide crates:
Small (up to 15 lbs - 21" L x 16" W x 15" H)
Medium (25 lbs to 30 lbs - 28" L x 20.5" W x 21.5" H)
Large (50 lbs - 70 lbs - 36" L x 25" W x 27")
XLarge (70 lbs to 90 lbs - 40" L x 27" W x 30)
XXLarge (90 lbs to 125 lbs - 48"L x 32"W x 35"H)
We supply wee wee pads, poopy bags, blankets, pillows, wipes, filtered water, food (but recommend familiar food to them to be sent along with travel), harnesses, leashes and seatbelts (USDA regulations require all pets in a crate during travel), treats (if approved by breeder and/or client) You are more than welcome to provide these items along with your pet(s) for their travel also.
We are very particular with all pets. All crates are sanitized after every use. We take strict care in maintaining cleanliness to prevent Canine Parvovirus, E.coli bacteria, viruses and contamination. Our veterinary approved disinfectant is an EPA approved hospital grade cleaner. It is used in many of the world’s leading veterinary hospitals and zoological institutions as well as by leading reptile, avian and exotic pet breeders and keepers.
No Paws On The Ground (NPOG). Puppies 4 months and younger or that have not had their final booster will not be allowed to be walked, placed on the ground or grass. We’re protecting your pet from picking up dirt, bacteria or any chemicals that might be on the ground or in the grass. We understand that some pets may not be fully vaccinated or may have a compromised immune system. Vets recommend waiting until 10-14 days after your puppy's last vaccination booster, usually when your puppy is 14-16 weeks old.
Besides love, hugs and kisses for your pet, do you have any questions or suggestions to make this process easier for you both?
Must have Health Certificate from a veterinarian within 10 days of travel. USDA requirement.
All Interstate Health Certificates must be dated no more than 10 days from the dogs final arrival date. 25 different fur-babies from an Animal Control location in Georgia will have a 2nd chance at life (every month) as the will be heading to Nova Scotia, Canada to a rescue.
I am elated that we were asked to help with this mission.
Updates will be posted on our social media pages.
All 25 of these babies arrived from Georgia to Canada escaping euthinasia. Canada is known for its no kill shelters and they embrace our fur-babies that no one wanted here.
What a joyous occassion. You can even see happiness on their faces where most probably have never even encountered snow.
I really enjoyed my travels withh them and my daughter.
The horrific information and images that have come out for this case definitely had me in my feelings.
