My name is Melissa and I am a professional USDA Certified pet transporter. I am the owner of Whiskers, Tails & Scales Pet Transport & Boarding, LLC. A people person and animal lover to the core. That is what prompted me to start this business. Although, I know I can’t have every animal/pet in the world right now, I sure can love yours for our short trip and/or stay together.
Whiskers, Tails & Scales, provides professional pet transportation for (whiskers) cats, (tails) dogs, (scales) reptiles, also those in between (birds & small pets). We safely relocate your pet to its destination via ground transportation, door to door.
I am a Licensed LLC., Fully Insured (yes, your fur-baby, purr-baby or scaly-baby is covered with pet insurance in my care) and I am USDA Certified with a Class T license to transport animals under the Animal Welfare Act (7 U.S.C. 2131 et seq.) and registered with the Georgia Department of Agriculture Animal Protection Division as a Kennel/Boarding facility for up to 20 animals and certified by The American Red Cross in Cat & Dog First Aid. It is vital to have these credentials.
For your convenience I also offer Afterpay. Pay in 4 installments, every 2 weeks in 6 weeks. Interest FREE.
I know you need top priority service for your fur-baby(s). I offer GPS tracking the entire ride from pickup to delivery of your pet(s) transportation.
VIP/Private transports, Air nanny services, International transports and Boarding are available upon request.
All inclusive in quoted price and no additional charges. The care services that come along with the transport (i.e. stopping every 3-4 hrs., providing pictures and video updates, feeding, changing their wee-wee pads and/or walking, vomit clean ups if they get car sick, making sure they stay hydrated while on their travel(s), and most of all, human interaction and love, rubs and cuddles to make it less traumatizing on them).
Our travels are climate controlled according to your pet(s) needs.
We temporarily (for the ride only) provide crates:
Small (up to 15 lbs - 21" L x 16" W x 15" H)
Medium (25 lbs to 30 lbs - 28" L x 20.5" W x 21.5" H)
Large (50 lbs - 70 lbs - 36" L x 25" W x 27")
XLarge (70 lbs to 90 lbs - 40" L x 27" W x 30)
XXLarge (90 lbs to 125 lbs - 48"L x 32"W x 35"H)
We supply wee wee pads, poopy bags, blankets, pillows, wipes, filtered water, food (but recommend familiar food to them to be sent along with travel), harnesses, leashes and seatbelts (USDA regulations require all pets in a crate during travel), treats (if approved by breeder and/or client) You are more than welcome to provide these items along with your pet(s) for their travel also.
We are very particular with all pets. All crates are sanitized after every use. We take strict care in maintaining cleanliness to prevent Canine Parvovirus, E.coli bacteria, viruses and contamination. Our veterinary approved disinfectant is an EPA approved hospital grade cleaner. It is used in many of the world’s leading veterinary hospitals and zoological institutions as well as by leading reptile, avian and exotic pet breeders and keepers.
No Paws On The Ground (NPOG). Puppies 4 months and younger or that have not had their final booster will not be allowed to be walked, placed on the ground or grass. We’re protecting your pet from picking up dirt, bacteria or any chemicals that might be on the ground or in the grass. We understand that some pets may not be fully vaccinated or may have a compromised immune system. Vets recommend waiting until 10-14 days after your puppy's last vaccination booster, usually when your puppy is 14-16 weeks old.
Besides love, hugs and kisses for your pet, do you have any questions or suggestions to make this process easier for you both?
